We heard your concerns about many incidents of safety hazard while recharging.
Ninebot achieved the world first (ul2272) safety certification back in May 2016. The safety of the electrical system as an integrated whole: the safety of the electrical drive train system and battery and charger system combinations for the electrical system.
Even with the add on auxiliary battery installed, ES2 it is still LTA compliant.
Check if the model of your e-scooter is recognised and listed by LTA as a UL2272 certified e-scooter model (“Recognised Model”) in the list of Recognised Models (PDF, 669kb).




Where to register and how to get your unique registration mark?
If you are at least 16 years old, you can register your electric scooter with the Land Transport Authority ("LTA").
You can register your e-scooters at E-scooter Inspection Centres (“EICs”) or consult your reseller for more.
From 5 November 2019, electric scooters can be ridden on cycling paths and Park Connector Networks (PCNs). Electric scooters are prohibited from all footpaths and roads.
You must ensure that your device is registered with the Land Transport Authority (LTA), with its Registration and Identification Marks properly affixed and displayed
From 1 January 2022, e-scooter riders must pass a mandatory online theory test before they are able to ride.
